The Ultimate Stealth Build for Sneaky Khajiit

This build is perfect for the extra-sneaky Khajiit who prefer to embrace the shadows. The Blade of Woe (unlockable through the Dark Brotherhood DLC) is an extremely powerful tool when used effectively. While many players limit its use to Dark Brotherhood quests, it shines just as much in the overworld and can help you eliminate groups of up to three enemies.

To get the most out of this build, you'll want to focus on maximizing your stealth. While other races can pull this off, the Khajiit naturally excels thanks to their innate stealth bonuses. However, the race isn’t strictly required. Below, you'll find the essential skills, passives, and gear recommendations to turn you into a master of shadows.

Core Build Details

Best Class: Nightblade

• Skill: Shadowy Disguise (Morph)
  • This ability allows you to bypass areas where stealth alone isn’t enough, even when maxed out.

Armor: Medium

• Passive Skill: Improved Sneak
  • Reduces your detection area by up to 35% and decreases the stamina cost of sneaking by 47%.

Optional Enhancements

Sub-Race: Vampire (Stage 2)

• Passive Skill: Dark Stalker
  • Removes the movement penalty when sneaking, making it easier to close gaps on your targets. Also reduces the time it takes to enter stealth.
• Passive Skill: Strike from the Shadows
  • Adds a critical damage bonus when you’re detected, giving you heavy hits when needed.
• Character Passive: Stage 2 Vampire
  • You can push to Stage 3 for additional bonuses, but the drawbacks often outweigh the benefits.

Guild: Dark Brotherhood

• Passive Skill: Padomaic Sprint
  • Increases your movement speed, making it easier to reach your next target quickly.
• Passive Skill: Spectral Assassin (Optional)
  • Gives a 15% chance to avoid detection when using the Blade of Woe.

Race: Khajiit

• Passive Skill: Feline Ambush
  • Decreases your detection range by an additional 3 meters, giving you an edge in stealth.

Champion Points

• Craft Tree Skill: Shadow Strike
  • The foundation of this build. This skill makes you invisible for 5 seconds after killing an enemy with the Blade of Woe, allowing you to eliminate nearby targets—even during combat.

Playstyle and Tips

With this build, you’ll be the stealthiest Khajiit, effortlessly slipping past NPCs as if you were never there and taking out enemies in a flash. While it’s highly effective, it’s not perfect—some enemies may still detect you even after you go invisible, which is more of a game quirk than a flaw in the build. ( Also highly recommened turning off Assassination Camera)
