Power jumped to 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque, while the standard Hellcat simultaneously received a modest bump to 717 hp. But what truly made the Redeye special were the deep internal revisions: upgraded valvetrain, improved cylinder heads, stronger axles, and a high-flow fuel system. In almost every meaningful way, the Redeye leans closer to the Demon lineage than to the base Hellcat. And the telltale sign? The familiar Hellcat logo gets a crimson pupil, quietly announcing that this cat has sharper claws.
If the Redeye brought Demon-like performance, the Jailbreak package took it to a bespoke level. Introduced as part of Dodge’s final push for the L-series cars, Jailbreak models pushed output to 807 horsepower—matching the original 2018 Demon’s pump-gas rating. But the real headline wasn’t just the number. The Jailbreak unlocked an unprecedented palette of customization. Buyers could mix and match interior themes, brake caliper colors, badges, and exclusive paint hues previously off-limits. It effectively turned each Hellcat into a one-of-a-kind build. The Demon Challenger also introduced a roster of production-car firsts: a trans brake, drag radial tires, and a liquid-to-air interchiller to keep intake temperatures in check. On high-octane unleaded fuel, the 2018 Demon generated 840 horsepower. And then came the Last Call Demon 170 in 2023, which unleashed a staggering 1,025 horsepower and ripped through the quarter-mile in an NHRA-certified 8.91 seconds—a record for an ICE production car that still stands in 2026.
