ARC Raiders A Wrench in the Works Locations Buy Cheaper Raid Gear at RSVSR

So yeah, A Wrench in the Works is way easier than people are making it, and the big thing is you don't need to extract for the quest to stick. I tested it twice in Spaceport after the Riven Tides update, once geared and once as a dumb cheap run because I'd been saving mats and even grabbed some ARC Raiders Coins when my crafting stash got nuked by bad decisions. If you trigger the final send to Celeste, you're done, even if some cracked Raider deletes you ten seconds later.

Don't waste time checking every bus

The notes are not in the random buses near the middle, which is where I saw two players doing laps like lost NPCs. You want the derelict bus by the western road, between Departure and Arrival, close to the west gate side. I come in from the south when possible because Arrival plaza can get spicy fast with ARC patrols and player sightlines. Go to the driver's area, hit the interaction, and leave. Don't loot goblin there unless the raid is dead quiet.

The tower part is where people throw

After the bus, head northwest to the Water Towers. The interact isn't at the base, and yeah, I made that mistake first run because the marker felt kinda vague. You need the northern tower, climb up inside, and hit the transmit point on the upper ring. The send took around three to five seconds for me, which is long enough to feel awful if someone is watching the warehouse roofs. Clear the base first or at least listen for steps, because being stuck in that animation is free target practice.

Why I think cheap runs are legit here

Most guides act like you should play it like a normal loot route, but imo this quest is perfect for a low-risk sprint. The notes don't take inventory space, so dying after grabbing them doesn't seem to wipe that step. Once the tower send goes through, Celeste counts it. Rewards aren't insane, usually 500 Credits, 2 Mechanical Components, and 1 Mod Component, but the real reason is pushing the Speranza/Celeste line and getting closer to Radio Renegade. That outfit is doing more work than half the current armor drip, ngl.

Stuff I'm still not sure on

I haven't confirmed if squads all need to press the bus notes and tower prompt themselves, so don't be lazy with that. Have everyone interact if you can. Also not 100% sure if the transmit pings other Raiders or if I just got unlucky with a sniper camping nearby. If you're short on funds or replacing kits after failed tower climbs, I've been using ARC Raiders Coins buy as a fallback when I don't feel like grinding another pile of scrap. Anyway, run bus first, tower second, don't force extract if it's cursed, lmk if I missed anything.
