U4GM What Is the Avian Alarm Bird Trap in ARC Raiders

The Avian Alarm project in ARC Raiders looks stranger than it really is. When the Riven Tides update drops that “lay a bird trap” objective into your log, it's easy to assume you've missed a recipe, a vendor item, or some odd bit of kit back in Speranza. You haven't. Bring your normal loadout, keep your head on a swivel, and don't waste time hunting for a cage. The first step is purely location-based, which is handy if you're saving resources or planning to buy Raider Tokens for other upgrades instead of burning materials on guesswork.

Finding the trap spot

Queue into Riven Tides and push north toward the Port Authority Building. It's one of those landmarks you'll recognise after a couple of runs, even if the map is being rude with patrols and awkward sightlines. From there, head past the sea wall and drop down into the dried Seabed. You're looking for a large red buoy half sunk into the sand. It doesn't look like much at first, but that's the place. Walk close enough and a blue interact prompt should appear. Hit it, place the trap, and that part of Avian Alarm is done. No waiting. No bird animation. No extra item in your backpack.

Getting back with the objective complete

The only real danger is the trip itself. Riven Tides can turn nasty fast, especially if an ARC unit wanders into your route or another Raider hears the noise and decides you're carrying something better than you are. Don't hang around the buoy after the prompt clears. Mark a sensible exit, check your stamina, and move. A lot of players lose the step because they get greedy nearby, not because the task is hard. Treat it like a quick field errand, then get out and let the project move on.

What the later stages ask for

Once you're safely back in Speranza, Avian Alarm becomes more familiar. Now it wants materials, and the list grows in a pretty mean way. Early on, you'll hand in simpler finds such as Tick Pods and Moss. After that, the project starts asking for specific Riven Tides ship models, including names like “Twilight Compass” and “Sirena Dorata.” Here's the bit people mess up: check the rarity before donating. If the stage only wants green models, don't throw in your rarer gold-tier versions by mistake. The menu won't feel bad for you.

Why the grind is worth finishing

The closing stages lean into tougher ARC components, so expect to chase parts like Turbine Compressors and Vaporizer Regulators before you're done. It can feel a little grindy, but the payout isn't just filler. You'll pick up useful blueprints, Raider Tokens, and the Bird House backpack attachment, which is a neat cosmetic proof that you stuck with the chain. If you like keeping your progression moving while browsing game currency or item services on sites such as U4GM, this project is still worth doing yourself for the field experience and the small bit of worldbuilding behind it: birds as an early warning system for changing conditions around Riven Tides.
