The 2-D materials are crystalline composites arranged in ultra-thin planar sheets that change how electrons, photons, and heat behave inside manufactured systems. Their low dimensional atomic layout reduces internal charge-scattering inefficiencies enabling exceptionally high electron mobility and planar conductivity increases without structural overhead. These 2-D atomic layers bind strongly in plane while holding weak out-of-plane van-der-Waals interactions allowing them to be mechanically separated into single-layer stacks.
