June Netflix Speed Changes

In June, significant shifts occurred on the Netflix ISP Speed Index, highlighting the evolving landscape of internet quality for streaming.

Taiwan experienced notable improvements, with two major providers enhancing their speeds considerably.

So-net, in particular, achieved the largest gain, boosting its average speed by 1.1 Mbps to reach 3.44 Mbps, up from 2.34 Mbps the previous month.

Meanwhile, Taiwan Broadband also saw a substantial increase, climbing from 2.76 Mbps to 3.76 Mbps, marking a 1.0 Mbps rise.

These enhancements likely contributed to Taiwan's overall improvement in the rankings, moving up four places to the 26th position from 30th in May.In various global regions, the Dominican Republic's Altice experienced a notable surge, reaching an average of 3.06 mbps—a significant improvement from May's 2.59 mbps figure.

Meanwhile, Denmark saw Dansk Kabel TV's performance climb to 3.91 mbps on average, marking an upward trend from the previous month's 3.62 mbps.

Ecuador's internet performance saw notable improvements this period.

Puntonet, offering DSL, wireless, and satellite services,

experienced a boost to an average of 2.11 Mbps,

up from its previous 1.86 Mbps.

Simultaneously, Netflife in Ecuador accelerated,

reaching an average speed of 3.88 Mbps,

a clear increase from the 3.65 Mbps recorded earlier.In June, several regions experienced significant declines in their average Netflix streaming speeds. Taiwan's Kbro service saw its speed drop to 3.09 Mbps from 3.29 Mbps the previous month. Similarly, South Africa's Cell C decreased to 3.02 Mbps, down from 3.35 Mbps in May. Hungary's Invitel also registered a slowdown, with speeds falling to 2.90 Mbps from 3.22 Mbps.

Turkey faced notable speed reductions across multiple providers. TüksiKabel experienced the most substantial decline, with speeds decreasing by 0.66 Mbps to 2.89 Mbps, compared to 3.55 Mbps in May. Turkcell Superonline's average speed declined slightly to 3.24 Mbps from 3.45 Mbps.

Country rankings showed some shifts as well. Saudi Arabia's position dropped five spots, moving from 43rd to 48th. Meanwhile, Thailand improved its standing, climbing four places to 12th. Indonesia also gained ground, moving up four spots to 34th.
