Fragmented Logs doesn't look too bad when Shani first hands it over, but once you're inside Stella Montis, it turns into a route-planning test more than a shooting mission. A lot of players go in thinking they just need enough ammo and a decent rifle. That's not really the problem. The real mistake is forgetting the Electrical Component, which is basically as important as any of your ARC Raiders Items for this run. If you don't bring one, you'll waste a full raid for nothing. Put it in your Safe Pocket and don't get clever about it. Losing that item halfway through because you got jumped by a patrol is the kind of thing that makes people log off for the night.

Start at the Robotic Sandbox

Your first stop is the Robotic Sandbox control section. You're looking for a damaged terminal, and thankfully this part isn't too confusing once you get in. The mirrored room setup helps a lot. If one side feels too hot, cut over and use the other. That's the nice part of this objective. It gives you a little flexibility, which Stella Montis usually doesn't. Once you slot in the Electrical Component, the terminal kicks back to life and starts restoring partial power. Don't hang around after that. Plenty of players make the mistake of treating this like a safe zone, looting nearby boxes or lingering too long. Bad idea. Get the interaction done and move.

The switch room is where runs fall apart

Step two sends you to a conduit backroom just outside the Sandbox area, and this bit is more annoying than hard. The switch itself is easy to find once you're in the right utility room. The issue is everything around it. Tight corridors. Poor sightlines. ARC units wandering through at the worst possible time. You can't just barrel through and hope your armour carries you. It usually won't. Crouch, listen, pause at corners. It's slow, sure, but this quest rewards patience way more than aggression. If you hear fighting nearby, let someone else make the noise and slip past while they're busy. That works more often than people think.

The Archives are the real danger

After that, you need to cross toward the eastern side of Stella Montis and reach the Cultural Archives service backrooms. This is the point where the mission gets properly tense. The Archives attract everyone. ARC enemies stack up there, and so do players hunting loot or chasing their own objectives. It's messy, and you can feel a raid go bad in seconds. The final terminal is tucked away, but getting a clean path to it is the hard part. Sometimes the best move is to wait. Let a patrol pass. Let another squad trigger the chaos first. Then sneak in, hit the system, and get out before the whole area wakes up.

What makes this quest worth doing

Once you activate that last terminal, the quest is complete, and that's the good news. You don't need a perfect victory lap after it. Shani's reward of three Showstoppers and three Trailblazers is actually useful, especially if you've got tougher PvE fights lined up next. More importantly, finishing Fragmented Logs teaches you how to move through Stella Montis without panicking, and that matters more than raw aim.
